Purpose
of the Forum
The DCRP International Forum for Planners assembles resources
to provide a structure for discourse
and learning about international planning issues and opportunities.
The Forum sponsors lunchtime
lectures on a variety of international topics.

Certificates
Student can obtain the following certificates in conjunction
with a Masters in Regional Planning:
University Center for International Studies (UCIS) - Chapel Hill

NEURUS:
(Network for European and U.S. Regional and Urban Studies):
A semester-long
exchange during the spring term which includes taking classes
at a host university and
working on a research project. Current exchanges are
in Berlin, Germany; Vienna, Austria;
and Groningen, Netherlands. For more information contact:

Chapel Hill: Study Abroad: Click on “Find a Program”
and then
“Senior or Graduate” on the “Eligibility”
menu to see a list of all the programs available for
either seniors or graduate students. These programs are not
arranged according to program
type and each program must be approved by the department.

Population-Environment Fellows Program: sponsored by USAID

through the University of Michigan, it provides assistance to

Foundation for Sustainable
Development: Located in Bolivia, Ecuador, Nicaragua, Peru,
Tanzania,
and Uganda, summer internship programs are 8-10 weeks in length
and consist of an individual
internship with a local community development organization,
an individual family homestay,
group orientation and debriefing sessions, and some group travel.
