Alumni Association By-laws

The purposes of the University of North Carolina Department of City and Regional Planning
Alumni Association shall be:

A.	To stimulate continuing interest and professional relationships among the University of North Carolina Department of City and Regional Planning (DCRP) and its Alumni, faculty, and friends;
B.	To maintain awareness and understanding of the problems, progress, and goals of the Department;
C.	To exert a continuing influence on the programs and activities of the Department;
D.	To promote continuing fellowship and professional communication among the graduates, faculty, staff, and friends of the Department;
E.	To recognize the achievements of alumni in the field of City and Regional Planning and related fields as well as their civic, political, and other contributions to the community;
F.	To assist in recruiting outstanding faculty and student candidates for the Department;
G.	To promote the planning profession and the Department by participating financially and providing assistance in securing financial support from public and private sources; and
H.	To promote student activities and programs of the Department of City and Regional Planning.
